Welcome to Girlguiding Sussex East On behalf of Girlguiding Sussex East it is our pleasure to welcome you all to our website. Girlguiding UK is a worldwide organisation with over 10 million members in 145 countries. In Sussex East we have 720 Rainbows, 2365 Brownies, 1364 Guides, 151 Senior Section members, and over 1112 adult volunteers. Here in Sussex East we enjoy the benefits of being able to use the beautiful South Downs as well as the beaches along the south coast for many guiding activities. We have units for all age groups from Rye in the east to Hove in the west and up to Crowborough, our most northerly division. All our leaders are kept up to date with new guiding initiatives, enjoy specific training for the age they volunteer with and are CRB checked. All members enjoy the assurance of comprehensive insurance provided by Girlguiding UK and paid for by our annual census. Whether you are a parent looking for a local unit or an existing volunteer looking for details of forthcoming events we are sure you will find our website useful.
